Dunedin Botanic Garden - Interactive learning for all the family…
Take an illuminating journey underground to discover our wonderful, hardworking ‘micro-friends’ in the soil. Did you know these tiny creatures have superpowers? - they can even make soil out of rocks! and that they are the key to growing healthy plants and food, cleansing our water and air, and sequestering carbon, and much more…
Michelle will invite you to join in on this interactive journey - so don’t be shy! Come along and play with cuddly microbes and learn what it might be like to be a soil superhero.
You will learn how to bury your old undies in the garden (yes - it’s truly a scientific method!) to find out just how healthy your soil is at home.
There is even a GIANT surprise in store for the end of the session!!
